  • In a saucepan, add the sattu mix, coconut sugar(any other sweeteners to your choice), and water. Mix it without any lumps.
  • Now simmer this over medium until it thickens. It usually takes about 3 to 4 minutes. While it is simmering, don't forget to stir in between to avoid the lumps.
  • When you see bubbles on top as shown in the picture, add the milk and mix. Simmer it for a minute or two. I usually simmer it for one minute.
  • That's it. The porridge is ready.

Notes

  • I used a store-bought sattu flour mix. You can use homemade ones or any other porridge powder. The time it takes to thicken might vary accordingly.
  • Instead of regular milk, you can add nut-based milk and make this a vegan beverage, as well.
  • I went with unrefined coconut sugar for this recipe. But you can use any sweeteners of your choice.
  • I did not boil the milk as it was pasteurized. But if you boil milk regularly, then add the boiled milk.
