Wishing You All A Very Happy New Year…

The first post of the blogathon and is it going to be a resolution post?? Nah… I am done with the resolutions. The resolutions that I make doesn’t even last for couple of months. So I am planning to create a wish list and see if I can tick them off.
I wanted to start this New Year with a positive note. Luckily I remembered this three day quote challenge passed by Deepa of madraasi.com. She sent it in July 2015 but here I am doing it in Jan 2016. Better late than never is my policy. Thanks a lot Deepa. She is an amazing food blogger with loads of recipes and love her reviews too. I love the quote she posted for her day 1 – “BEHIND A BEAUTIFUL SMILE, FEMALE MIND IS A MYSTERIOUS PLACE”

Here are three quotes that have always inspired me.

    Quote 1:

The first one is Swami Vivekananda’s – “Awake Arise and Stop Not Till the Goal is Reached.” I don’t need to explain much about this quote. I read this quote in Vivekandar Mantap in Kanyakumari during my school trip  and from that point on this is the first thing that I remember whenever I am depressed.

    Quote 2:

The Second one is from Robert Frost. I love both his “Stopping by woods on a snowy evening” and “The Road not taken” poems. Love these lines from Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. I think everyone would have learnt these poems as a part of their Academics.

“But I have promises to keep,   And miles to go before I sleep,  And miles to go before I sleep.”

    Quote 3:

The third one is from Thiruvalluvar. I have loads of couplets that I love but this one always tops the lot.

    Theyvaththaan Aakaa Theninum Muyarchidhan
    Meyvaruththak Kooli Tharum
    Explanation (source:http://www.gokulnath.com/thirukurals/62)
Although it be said that, through fate, it cannot be attained, yet labor, with bodily exertion, will yield its reward.

This is a three day quote challenge but I am sharing all my quotes in this post itself. I would like add couple more here.

The fourth one is from our Mundasu Kavingar – Mahakavi Bharathiyar. The very first song that sang in the stage was his song. Oli Padaitha kanninai Vaa Vaa Vaa. I love that entire song and the lyrics are of course powderful and inspiring.

Being a food blogger I should share this quote of Julia Child – “The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you’ve got to have a what-the-hell attitude.”

So now I am passing on this tag to all the Blogathon Participants and you can either take this as a three day quote challenge or just one a day for three continuous days.

    The rules are pretty simple,

    Here come the rules –

    • Thank the blogger, who nominated you.
    • Post one of your favorite quotes (different quote on each day) on three consecutive days. Or you can post all on one day like me. (Sorry about the changing the rule)
    • The quote can bee from your favorite book, author, or your own. Don’t forget to acknowledge the source.

Once again wishing you all a very great year ahead and see you all with a recipe post tomorrow… :-)

Yay. Three days is best. BTW, any chance of making it a 30-day-quote challenge? ;)
