We wanted to have a quick,easy and healthy breakfast :-). Is it possible?? oh yeah absolutely.
My husband wanted to try this kale juice for a very long time and last week he got a big bag of cleaned baby kale from safeway. Instead of trying something Indian with kale, I thought I will go for some juice where I can add my protein powder also. Found lot of recipes on epicurious.com. As we are venturing kale for the first time, I want to mix it with a fruit that we like. So our first choice was obviously pineapple.
Here is what I did,
Ingredients: (Serves 2)
Baby Kale – 10 leaves.
Chopped Pineapple – 1 1/2 cup
Protein powder of your choice – 1 scoop (The one that I used was vanilla flavored)
Water – 1 cup
I used regular blender to process them together. And thats it kale juice is ready.
Tasted good, not bad as we thought. Will post our other attempts with other fruits too.
