Slow Cooker Drumstick Leaves / Moringa Soup

SlowCookerMurungaiSoup

We all know the goodness of drumstick leaves which is called as Murungai Keerai in Tamil. I have already mentioned about the health benefits of these leaves in the Murungai Keeri Curry post. We used the leaves, flowers and of course the veggie drumstick for cooking. I don’t find flowers here in US (toooo much expectation huh) but leaves and drumsticks are readily available.

I got this recipe from our friend JV. Vaandu doesn’t like this spinach and making him eat this veggie is daunting task. I add drumstick in soups but when I was looking for some soup recipe JV shared this recipe with me. She does it in the regular stove top way, but I thought why not try this in the slow cooker. The flavor just comes from the spinach and the tadka. I have used loads of ghee but you can skip that and do the tadka with oil and top it up with butter later.

Here is the recipe,
