Watermelon – Roohafza Popsicle

Summer is here and we all want to be in outdoors and have something cool and refreshing. Melons are one of the best coolants, especially water melons. I want to make something refreshing and yummy, at the same time. So here comes my watermelon popsicle with falooda seeds and roohafza. Roohafza adds a special flavor to this popsicle and makes it completely refreshing. Falooda seeds adds more texture and its completely optional.

Watermelon is known for its cooling property and Roohafza for its refreshing flavor. Falooda Seeds or Sabja seeds are also known for its coolant property and for its fiber content. Falooda seeds not only adds texture to this popsicle but also adds their benefits to this popsicle.  Here is the three ingredient fix popsicle,

Ingredients:

  • Seedless water melons (chopped into cubes) – 1.5 cups
  • Roohafza –  ¼ cup (adjust according to your taste)
  • Falooda seeds – ½ tsp
  • Water – ½ cup

Steps:

  • Soak the falooda seeds in ½ cup of water for 1 hr (at least 30 minutes as we want the falooda seeds to double in size) and drain the water.
  • Blend the water melon along with roohafza. You dont need to add water while blending.
  • Now mix the drained falooda seeds to the watermelon puree.

  • Add this watermelon puree into you desired popsicle molds and freeze them until set. It took me about 4 hrs.

Notes:

  • Instead of Roohafza, rose syrup can be added.
  • If the water melon is not sweet enough, add required amount of sugar.
